Alicia Dauth
Director of Water and Environment Resilience
Alicia is a Chartered Environmentalist with the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Professionals (ISEP). Alicia has over 15 years of professional experience in the environmental sector, actively contributing since 2008. She is currently based in the United Arab of Emirates (UAE) but is originally from California in the United States of America (USA) . Alicia is a graduate from California State University, San Bernardino with a degree in Environmental Studies and completed graduate-level coursework in Environmental Engineering at California State University Fullerton. She is passionate about advancing global water stewardship through innovation, education, and advocacy and as an experienced environmental professional, she strives to influence how we manage water resources, ensuring sustainable and equitable practices for future generations. She has worked as an environmental consultant in various countries- leading the delivery of complex environmental projects, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), in alignment various regulatory frameworks and international standards.
She is a member of the Emirates Green Building Council in the UAE and a Water Positive Think Tank member. She is a certified Water Stewardship Specialist with the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) and serves as an independent lead auditor for the Water Stewardship Assurance Services (WSAS). She is also a Green Key auditor conducting audits in the UAE. As an approved SCS contractor advisor, she consults and advises on the SCS-116 Certification Standard for Water Stewardship and Resiliency. Alicia guides organisations to reduce environmental impacts through practical, nature-based, and sustainable solutions, combining science-based methods with innovative, systematic approaches. Specialising in water assurance and stewardship, she develops strategies, supports water certifications, and delivers audits that strengthen water security and resilience.
Alicia has been an active contributor to high-profile conferences, webinars, and media platforms focused on water, sustainability, and environmental management. She has moderated and participated as a panelist at events including the UAE Water Management Conference (Dubai, 2024), MENA Stormwater and Wastewater Forum (Abu Dhabi, 2024), World Energy Summit Water Conference (Abu Dhabi, 2024), and Global Clean Cities Expo (Dubai, 2024). She has also spoken at the Future of Water Summit (Dubai, 2023) and Dubai Expo 2020, Swedish Pavilion, discussing sustainability and technological solutions. Alicia has contributed to webinars with the Emirates Green Building Council on topics such as biodiversity in urban landscapes and green office spaces, and has shared her insights as a podcast guest on “Conexion Circular” and “Middle East Focus,” as well as on the Arab Barometer panel discussing MENA’s key environmental challenges. In recognition of her contributions, she was nominated for the BCG V60 in 2023.
